some very exciting news... apple announced their iphone today. it's incredible technology. aside from the price, i'm extremely excited. it's actually all touch screen. it's an ipod as well as phone. i can go on and on, it's incredible. click on the pictures to see more at apples web site.

in other exciting news, it was 85 here the other day. not kidding you. i walked outside in a sweatshirt and thought, 'what the heck is this?' it had been in the 50s until then, it dropped into the upper 60s today. not gonna lie, it's pretty nice for january.

i've decided that i'm going through a midlife crisis. is that possible at 25, does that mean ill die at 50? this can't be a good sign. my brain keeps jumping back and forth between 1. i'm 25 and i'm not in a long term career, i don't own a home, i'm paying off debt and i don't know what i'm doing with my life (enter labored breathing here) and 2. i'm only 25, i'm too young to have a career and far too young to be married.

the problem is that either argument has me wanting to either drink heavily (not really, just kidding, no one panic) or get a new job. i'm not kidding, i'm actully stressing about this. it doesn't feel good.

what is your opinion of me joining the LA police department? my mom about came through the phone...what about everyone else?

off to talk myself off a cliff...and talk myself out of hyperventilating,
k

Please, I beg of you...LAPD?!?!?! You are an incredible woman with a unique skill set and huge potential...which makes me wonder what made you think the LAPD is the place for you? Let's not get ourselves shot here

I'd call is a quarter-life crisis (thank you john mayer) and I'd say I have days like that too.

Cedar Point is hiring. AspireOne is hiring. go to www.aspireone.com and click on the "hiring" link in the sidebar and you can read about the different positions that are open.

I love you Katie. I loved this post. HI-Larious!

What ever happened to video production? Seems to me, although highly competitive, LA would be the place to explore THAT avenue. Trust me, Holt's were NEVER meant to be dodging bullets between the Crips and the Bloods.... or anywhere else for that matter.

Katie, if it makes you feel better...no one I know that´s our age owns a home, has a fulltime job, or has any clue what they want to do with their life. They do however, like their alcohol.

Katie, all the above is good stuff! We don't own, and most freinds that do, were able to thanks to their parents. As exciting as ASpireOne sounds, I can't stand the thought of you leaving!! DomDom couldn't either! If there is anything we can do to help, ie: help find a new job etc, let us know! My mom always says this to me when I'm going through a rough patch "This too shall Pass", and it always helps!! HANG IN THERE!

Find out what makes you happy and then do it.

Don't leave apple until you get me a t-shirt, XL please. Thanks be to you.

Corey's serious about the t-shirt, btw... and he has an adorable little baby - Caleb Grayson - that would probably like a little baby-sized apple shirt, too!

You could always work at a scrapbooking store, like me. Oh, that's right...

I'm still trying to imagine you with a gun! From the first moment you touch it and the inevitable rolling of your instructors eyes to the moment you actually get good at it which is when the thought moves to something slightly more scary. Katie's gotta gun! (and a badge?)
Stick to shooting videos not bad guys, well at least shooting them with bullets.
Hey I didn't graduate college until I was 26 and Alycia finished at 25 so you've got time to figure it out.

From a friend of a friend of Amberwire:

First, be careful what you say about your work on your blog because you never know who is reading it. I know of situations that resulted in negative consequences.

Second, in my experience, life at 25 is not significantly different from life at 50 in the sense that both are all about doing the next right thing. You can plan for the future (and should), but you really cannot see with certainty beyond your next step.

Third, take pleasure in what you do each day. For example, when I travel for business, no matter how busy or intense I am, I force myself to do at least one fun thing, even if its only for a few minutes.

i'll just point out that i've never said where i work or what i do. so far i think i'm good. also, i never said i hate my job, i don't hate my job. but i am at the top position that i can be in, in my path right now. that's my only complaint. i don't have a place to go up to from here. so i feel like i don't have any room for accomplishment. i'm not complaining about my job.

i'm more concerned about where i am in life right now.
