it's my day off...good times.

here's something i find kind of funny. i turned on the news and the two stories that lead the news were:

1: how three inches of snow shut down a stretch of the freeway that is called the grape vine. people were panicked about black ice and snow. they are 'worried about the well being of the homeless' during these 'extreme' colds. i know, i know, they aren't used to it here but i kind of want to drive up there and drive on the ice, just to show them how it's done.

2: california legalized medical marijuana (enter your joke here about how that's the reason i moved here) and they legalized it about 10 years ago. here's the funny thing, it's still illegal in any stretch of the imagination under federal law. so, all of these 'pharmacies' here that stock the medical marijuana got raided yesterday by federal dea agents. everyone is up in arms because they shouldn't have the right to raid these shops. when did california break off from the rest of the country and become exempt from federal law?? just fyi: i've literally never even touched the stuff, for those of you who are actually worried right now.

THIS JUST IN

3: a body was just found just south of holt ave.... man, you gotta love southern california.

good times.

off to enjoy the sunshine

Actually, California succeeded from the Union when it formed it's own state of mind about the time "Inna Godda Da Vida" became the unauthorized California national anthem. (And about the same time that anything by Lawrence Welk became the Florida unauthorized anthem.... just thought I'd beat you to the punch (I'm such a sadist).)

Stupid California hippies! j/k...I heard on the news this morning that some moron there is trying to make it illegal to spank your kids before they're three. Let me tell ya, thanks to being spanked as a toddler, I'm not in prison right now. Thanks mom and dad for spanking me and happy spanking to all who believe in it.

Marijuana is typically less dangerous than alcohol and less addictive than cigarets. I wouldn't smoke weed any sooner than drink or smoke, but consider that people will guard their beer with their life but gladly pass a joint. The federal VS local laws issue has always been a major one, its why there is a local government at all.
