okay, tomorrow morning i have to the dmv of california and register my car. i thought this would be a simple thing. i made my appointment. i just realized that it's not a simple thing. i printed out the check list and i have to have a smog test! i knew i would have to have one eventually. the problem is that eventually has arrived, and i have to have it done before my registration appointment. so. i work tomorrow. here is how the day should go.

8am car parts store - to buy tons of things you put in your gas tank to help take down the emissions level
9am walmart- oil change, to help reduce the chance of failing the smog test
930am shell gas station - smog test
1040am dmv- registration appointment
1pm - work until 10pm

this is going to suck

so i went to the pool today. i was laying out, on my stomach and all of a sudden, I feel someone rubbing my back. this is not normal.

i turn around to see who in the world it touching me...some lady is rubbing sun tan lotion on my back. i have never met her before, i've never seen her before. and she then starts saying, "oh, honey, you need to be careful out here." and i really, REALLY wanted to say, "i have no idea who you are and why did you just put lotion on my back!?" crazy woman!

so, that was my entertaining morning. yowza.

i got tagged by amber cox who started this...or at least continued it! ah well, i'm honored to be in the ring.

One book that changed your life: Chasing Daylight by Erwin McManus

One book that you've read more than once: Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey

One book that you'd want on a desert island: I agree with Amber and Corey here, Bible first then, the "worst case senario" book

One book that made you laugh: "everybody poops" i'm sorry, it just has to be said. i remember seeing my entire extended family laughing about this book, so funny!

One book that made you cry: again, I agree with Amber but I'd say it's between my physics book senior year of high school and Traveling Light by Max Lucado (i think)

One book that you wish had been written: "What to do, when you have no idea what to do next" i'd love to see Mark Beeson or Erwin McManus write something like this

One book that you wish had never been written: the 21 irrefutable laws of leadership, not because it's bad just because i was tortured with it by an old boss...it did have good points though

One book you are currently reading: For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn

One book you've been meaning to read: the left behind series, but the list just keeps getting longer

Tag 5 Others: I'm in the blogging sandbox now so I want to play by the rules. So let's go with Sharon Hughes, Uncle Mark, Sara Fisel, Tim the Medic and Becky - my sister.

first: it's 4:46am, my time.

second: let me just explain that i haven't been able to sleep lately. not quite insomnia, but getting there and getting there fast.

third: i fell asleep around 145am, and now i am awake.

not because i want to be. i have cathedral ceilings in my apartment...and my fire alarm keeps beeping to tell me the battery is dead. OH. MY. GOSH. you have got to be kidding....

so, i just climbed on top of one table, to the top of a book case, clutching the wall for my very life to be saved and ripped the son-of-a-gun out of the ceiling...walked out of my room, down the hall, through the family room, through the kitchen and stuffed it under some napkins in the pantry. shut the door, turned out the lights and here i am...

and now i can't sleep again.

did i mention that i have to get up at 630 tomorrow to make it to work on time...this is fabulous.

bitter, party of one.

nothing really new.

i'm a new found lover of sushi. i've always kinda liked it. now, i LOVE it.

I LEARNED HOW TO USE CHOP STICKS! i've never been able to do it before and my friend marco taught me how. i think it makes the food taste better.

i might take a night class on how to make sushi. HA that would be great!

i'm redoing my demo reel and watching some of the funniest footage ever!

i got cut off by this psycho driver on the freeway the other day, she came about 3 inches from hitting my front bumper, i was a little irritated. so, i was interested to see that she cut me off to get to my same exit. when i pull up behind her, i see that she has indiana license plates...and it starts with '20!' she's from elkhart! are you kidding me! thats like a mile from my house! (notice i didn't say three feet)

i got to see my friend kat on friday night. it was good to see her and her family. she liked the albums.

my friend justin starts his first day of school tomorrow! good luck!!!

gas prices are going to get higher. i might have to start selling organs to put gas in my car.

it was chilly and cloudy today and i have a sunburn from the top of my sweatshirt. who knew!

today was my first day off in seven days and it felt really, really good.

i have another one wednesday and i'm really looking forward to it.

another one bites the dust... (this ones for you sara)

my friend sara fisel got engaged. one more of my single friends, no longer single. hence the, another one bites the dust. i'm so excited for her. she's engaged to antonio (she's my friend that lives in spain). CONGRATULATIONS SARA!

so i shipped the scrapbooks to kat a couple days ago. they arrived today. still haven't heard anything. i am scared to death she won't like them. that's what sucks about doing something creative. it's like you put a little bit of yourself in every project you do and you just hope that people will like it, or best yet, love it. the worst part is when someone says, i hate it. and it feels like they're just saying, "yeah, i hate what you are and what you've done."

i guess that's the joy of putting your heart into your work.

i might have ulcers.

nothing else new...

sharon and i went running again. my legs are sore. it's a good sore but still sore. we had to run in a different spot so there was a slight incline. i feel like a wuss, but seriously feel like i got my butt kicked.

i got to see my friend meredith on monday. it's so great to see her. she looks incredible, she's lost a little bit of weight, she's my new inspiration.

i think that's all for now...i was looking forward to my sunday off this weekend...nope. i work now through monday. ahh, retail. it makes me feel like i need a grown up job :o) maybe...someday...
